Scott and Anthony Wing started Leucadia Custom Knives in their Encinitas, CA garage in 2016 as a father/son project that received such an incredible response that it bloomed into a family business. Fast forward to 2023, and LCK became Leucadia Blade Co. with the mission to bring premium-quality small-batch, American-made cutlery to your kitchen, boat, and beyond. 

Where most knifemakers start out making some version of a fixed-blade hunting or EDC knife, we took a different path. We were in and on the water every day either diving, fishing, or surfing. When we got home, we both loved to cook. So it was just organic for us to make fillet and kitchen knives. 

After spending about 5 years making well over a thousand custom, handmade knives, and after experiencing the frustration of having a one-year-long waiting list, we decided to branch out into machine production methods to improve our speed and efficiency. Our goal was, and still is, to create knives that are just as high-quality as our full customs, but at a more approachable price. By having several different shops around the US making parts for us, we've been able to meet that goal. Our current knives are a hybrid of custom and production, and 100% made in the USA. Each one is our original design, and still either handmade, or hand-finished, in our shop here in Encinitas.
