Built for power, precision, and control, The Marlin is an 8-inch BBQ and butchery knife designed to handle serious kitchen and outdoor tasks. Its robust blade can break down large cuts of meat while remaining sharp enough to cleanly slice brisket or fillet a large fish.
The curved ergonomic handle ensures a secure, comfortable grip during long prep sessions, making The Marlin a dependable workhorse for trimming, portioning, or carving at the grill.
Crafted from AEB-L stainless steel and heat-treated and cryogenically treated to 61 HRC, The Marlin combines durability, edge retention, and performance in every cut.
The tested-food-safe DLC coating provides excellent corrosion-resistance, higher scratch & scuff resistance, as well as improved food release.
Uncoated Satin Stainless Marlins with no DLC coating are available on request.

Handle materials:
- SD Serape: Our own custom GCarta (a micarta made in Idaho), exclusive to Leucadia Blade Co. and layered with Navy Richlite and G10 liners. You won't find it on anyone else's knife. Every SD Serape knife also carries our La Catrina engraving on its reverse side.
- Mahi Mahi: GCarta, a custom micarta made in Idaho, wearing colors worthy of its namesake.
- Mexican Blanket: GCarta, a custom micarta made in Idaho. All the color of the blanket, none of the sand.
- 80's Carbon Fiber: Small-batch, custom carbon fiber made in San Diego. Featherweight, tough as nails, and about as local as it gets.
- Indigo Wood & Desert Verde Wood: Dymalux, an engineered real wood product made in Maine from birch laminate. Real wood grain, with the engineering to back it up.
- Blue & Black, Black & Gold, Ghost Jade and Black: G10, a fiberglass-and-epoxy laminate cured under heat and pressure. Light, tough and waterproof, it shrugs off salt water, oils and cleaners. It's seen it all and isn't impressed.
Please note: A sheath is not included with this knife. The Marlin & Serrated 8 Leather Sheath is sold separately.
