Proof will be how well it holds up over the course of an Alaska fishing season or two. Depending on how you carry the kydex sheath has a sharp point at the bottom that will wear through clothes/rain gear. Grinded it to a rounded edge easy enough. My chick thinks it looks cool. Probably because I put her initials on it.
